DAVIDSON, N.C. – Redshirt-sophomore
Weston Eklund shot a second round 71 (-1) and currently sits tied for 10th to lead Radford men's golf after day one of the Davidson Invitational.
The Invitational is being played on the 7,208-yard, par-72 championship course at River Run Country Club, which was recognized by Golf Reporter as one of the finest courses in the southeast.
Eklund's second round propelled him thirteen spots up the leaderboard with a day-one total of one-over 145.

Paul Woodson and senior
Lane Hite also had brilliant second rounds with a one-under 71 and even-par 72, respectively. Both upperclassmen finished the day at five-over 149 and are in a tie for 31st-place.
As a team, the Highlanders improved 18 strokes from their morning round and sit in ninth place at 596.
The third and final round begins tomorrow morning, with Radford teeing off at 8:15 a.m.
