
WAWNER LEADS MEN’S GOLF AFTER DAY ONE OF HUMMINGBIRD INVITATIONAL

CASHIERS, N.C. – Sophomore Wade Wawner carded an even-par 71 to lead Radford men's golf after the first 18 holes of the Hummingbird Invitational Monday morning.
The two-day, 36-hole event is being played on the par-71, 6,767-yard course at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley.
Wawner had a solid first round by tallying four birdies and is presently in a tie for 14th out of 99 competitors.
Freshman Matt Harman looks to have his best finish of the year by way of a first-round three-over 74 and currently sits in a tie for 48th-place.
As a team, Radford fired an eleven-over 296 and are just three strokes out of 10th place.
The final 18 holes will begin tomorrow with a 9 a.m. tee time.
