RADFORD, Va. – Da'Naria Erwin Spencer was named the Big South Conference Women's Basketball Choice Hotels Player of the Week, for games played Nov. 16-22, the league office announced today.

Erwin Spencer averaged 17.5 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals as Radford went 1-1 last week. The sophomore guard was the leading scorer in both contests, including a 63-56 comeback victory at George Mason on Nov. 26.

In that contest, she sparked the comeback with 13 of her game-high 18 points in the second half. She also hit 9-of-13 from the free throw line and three of her four steals came in the final 1:23 of the contest with the score tied or the Highlanders in the lead.

Against Hampton, she almost keyed Radford to its second straight second half comeback. She scored the final seven points of a 17-5 run that erased a 10-point deficit and gave Radford a two-point lead with four minutes to go. Erwin Spencer finished the contest with 17 points, four assists and four rebounds.

For the week, she shot 53 percent from the floor and hit two of four three-pointers, while draining 13 free throws.

Radford returns to the road on Saturday, Dec. 4 when it faces Davidson at 4 p.m.
