FINAL RESULTS

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Senior Nikki Roseberry tied the high jump school record and senior Bryan Wallace won the long jump as Radford track and field concluded the Liberty Kick Off Saturday at the Tolsma Indoor Track Center.

Roseberry leaped to a 5'07” (1.70m) height, tying Angie Jordan's five-year-old mark and placed third.

“Roseberry's school record was a great start to our first meet,” commented head coach Brent Chumbley.

In the 60-meter hurdles, freshman Courtni Pannell notched a third-place showing with a time of 9.07. Britney Whittaker wrapped up the 800 in third place with a 2:24.08 performance.

On the men's side, Radford captured second in the 200m by way of sophomore Kaise White who recorded a time of 22.74. Brett Olinger was close behind, finishing fifth with a time of 23.06. White also crossed the finish line in fifth in the 400 (50.48).

Hurdles were especially strong for the Highlanders, as third, fourth and fifth belonged to Olinger (8.37), Wallace (8.39) and freshman Chris Dobbins at 8.43.

Sean Shelton ran a strong race in the 800, placing second in a field of 17 athletes, crossing the line in 2:00.25.

In the jumps, Wallace captured the long jump title with a leap of 22'07.00” (6.88m). Sophomore Antonio Miller grabbed a fourth-place mark overall and was third among collegiate competitors in the triple jump at 45'11.25” (14.00m).

Kevin Richards finished strong in the heptathlon, collecting a personal-best 4,393 points with two third-place and two fourth-place showings.

“Our men's hurdlers ran very well, placing three in the Top-5 and we had a strong showing in the 200, along with the heptathlon. Overall it was a good learning meet and a chance to compete indoors again.”
