SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Despite opening with a 74, Radford's
Kyle Bailey bounced back with a three-under 69 to move into a tie for 11th after 36 holes of the Wofford Invitational Monday.
The 54-hole/two-day event is being played on the Par-72, 6,648-yard Country Club of Spartanburg layout.
Redshirt-freshman
Weston Eklund is four back of Bailey in a tie for 29th at 147 (74-73), while
Lane Hite and
Michael Wade are tied for 60th.
As a team, Radford improved on its morning total by four swings and will enter the final round in 12th place, just 12 back of seventh place.
East Tennessee State backed an opening round 285 (-3) with a 277 (-11) and leads the team standings by seven strokes over Charleston Southern.
In addition to his team sitting atop the leaderboard, ETSU's Michael Stewart (-6) leads teammate Seamus Power (-5) by one stroke in the individual standings.
The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning.
