FINAL RESULTS
NINETY-SIX, S.C. – Red-shirt freshman
Weston Eklund fired a one-under 71 Wednesday to lead Radford on the final day of the 2010 Big South Men's Golf Championships.
The three-day/8-team event was played on the Par 72, 7,079-yard The Patriot Club at Grand Harbor layout.
In addition to recording his sixth sub-par round of the season, Eklund paced the Highlanders on the individual leaderboard placing 20th.
Playing in his final collegiate tournament,
Kyle Bailey finished one back of Eklund at 225 (73-74-78), while
Michael Wade and
Lane Hite came home 30th and 32nd, respectively.
Also competing for Radford was freshman
Wade Wawner, who concluded the 54-hole event at 241 (72-90-79).
As a team, the Highlanders placed seventh with a total score of 907 (298-304-305).
Coastal Carolina (286-290-292 = 868) claimed the team title, while Liberty's Robert Karlsson fired a final round 66 to win individual medalists with a three-day score of seven-under.
