The Highlanders spent April 10 helping out at the Special Olympics held at Radford University's Cupp Stadium and adjoining athletic facilities.
"Community service is an important part of our program," said head coach Tajama Abraham Ngongba. "I am very proud of my player's commitment to assist others in need."
The following weekend, the Highlanders headed over to the Radford Clothing Bank. The ladies spent two hours folding and sorting clothes donated for distribution to those in need who reside in the New River Valley.
Since opening in 1982, it is a mission of 15 area churches operated by a Board of Directors and over 300 volunteers.
