LHP Jeff Maxwell (0-1, 7.20 ERA)  vs. RHP Shane Carter (0-0, 0.00)
Radford begins the last stretch of its season-long 12-game road trip on Wednesday afternoon when the Highlanders head to North Carolina A&T at 3 p.m.

Wednesday's meeting, the first of two this season, is the 21st all-time between the Highlanders and Aggies (RU, 11-9).   Radford swept the home-and-home series in 2010, the last time the two met.

Matt Hillsinger looks to continue a hot week – in four games, Hillsinger was 10-for-16 (.625), scored seven runs, went 3-for-3 on the bases, and walked four times (.700 OBP).  Hillsinger's .429 season average leads the team and his now-52 career steals place him two behind Brewers minor leaguer Reggie Keen (2007-10) for fourth in program history.

The Highlanders are looking to string together back-to-back wins for the first time in the young season – Radford took the series finale from 30th-ranked Georgia Southern on Sunday afternoon.

For the Highlanders, freshman lefty Jeff Maxwell will make his second career start.  Maxwell took the loss but kept Radford in the game last Tuesday, pitching in his hometown against Liberty (4 IP, 4 ER).  Maxwell (0-1, 1 sv) earned his first collegiate save in the win against Georgia Southern on Sunday, stranding the potential tying run at third base.

The Aggies enter Wednesday's game 3-5, coming off a 5-3 home loss to Appalachian State on Tuesday.   North Carolina A&T has played eight of its first nine games at home.
