MEN’S TENNIS RETURNS HOME TUESDAY TO FACE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE

RADFORD, Va. -- After playing 10 of its first 11 contests away from home, Radford will begin a five-match homestand Tuesday afternoon with a 1 p.m. dual against South Carolina State at the RU Tennis Courts.
 
Coming off a win over nationally-ranked Portland, the Highlanders enter 8-3 overall.
 
Winners of 47 of its last 49 home matches, Radford is led by sophomore Nicholas Sayer, who is 83rd in the most recent ITA Singles Rankings. The three-time Big South Player of the Week is 21-7 on the season at the top spot, including five wins over nationally-ranked foes.
 
Freshman Patrick O'Keefe leads the Highlanders this spring with a 10-1 mark at the No. 6 singles position.
 
In singles play, Radford is 50-15 (.769) on the spring.
 
Each of the Highlanders' three losses in 2012 have come to nationally-ranked teams, including two Top-40 opponents.
 
Radford will continue its home stretch Saturday afternoon with a crucial Big South dual against Coastal Carolina.
