TARREN, CARBAUGH PACE MEN’S GOLF AT BIG SOUTH PREVIEW

NINETY SIX, S.C. – Behind seventh-place performances from Callum Tarren and Tanner Carbaugh, the Radford men's golf team carded a 6-over-par 294 to finish fourth at Saturday's Big South Preview contested at The Patriot Golf Club (par 72, 7,120 yards).

Tarren and Carbaugh were two of 10 golfers in the 23-man field to shoot par or better as the duo carded an even-par 72. Conner Hayden and Ryan Rettberg tied for 14^th at 3-over-par 75, while Nick Brediger finished one stroke behind at 4-over-par 76 to tie for 17^th.

Fueled by three sub-par rounds, Gardner-Webb charted a 7-under-par 281 to top the team leaderboard. Campbell finished second at 1-under-par 287, while High Point was third at 3-over-par 291.

The Runnin' Bulldogs' Blake Maum returned a 4-under-par 68 to the clubhouse in earning medalist honors. Teammate Vincent Blanchette and the Camels' Mikko Lehtovuori tied for second at 3-under-par 69.

RU returns to the course in two weeks for the ODU/OBX Invitational hosted by the Monarchs at Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point, N.C.
