RADFORD, Va. – In its final tune-up before the Big South Women's Golf Championships, Radford travels to Morganton, N.C. for the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate hosted by Appalachian State Monday and Tuesday at Mimosa Hills Country Club.
The par 72, Donald Ross-designed layout will welcome 12 squads to the mountains of North Carolina. Joining the host Mountaineers and the Highlanders are Wofford, defending champion Western Carolina, Presbyterian College, Winthrop, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville State, The Citadel, Bethune-Cookman, Sand Hills CC and High Point.
Radford returns to the two-day tournament for the first time since 2010, when the team finished 12th. The Highlanders are coming off their sixth top-10 showing of the season following a 10th-place performance at last week's Low Country Intercollegiate.
Alexandra Austin leads the squad in scoring average at 76.83, which ranks 13th in the Big South. The sophomore is tied for the second-most individual top-10 finishes in the league with five.
Tee times for the first round begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday.
