HIGHLANDERS PUSH WINNING STREAK TO FOUR GAMES WITH WIN AT NCAT

BOX SCORE GREENSBORO, N.C. - Alexander Lee and Zach Woolcock had three and four hits, respectively to lead Radford to its fourth-straight victory, 13-3 Wednesday at North Carolina A&T. Lee homered and drove in three runs, while Woolcock missed only a home run in batting for the cycle with a triple, double, and two singles.

Radford (15-11, 4-2) spotted the Aggies a 1-0 lead in the first on an unearned run Jeovanny Tolentino led off the inning striking out, but reaching on a passed and then came around to score when the Highlanders committed two more fielding errors in the inning. The defense would settle down, and the offense would come to life for the visitors.

RU struck for four runs in the second and were never topped after that. Woolcock tripled to open the innning and scored on a sacrifice fly by Lee. Jordan Taylor executed a squeeze bunt to score Ryan Burgess and drive in a run. Another sac fly by Chris Coia, and a Josh Gardiner fly ball that was dropped in the outfield to plate the final run of the stanza.

Lee added to the lead to make it 6-2 in the top of the third with his second home run of the season, a two-run shot over the right field wall.

The Highlanders put up three more runs in the sixth. Blake Sipe's two-RBI double was the big hit in the inning.

Dylan Nelson (3-2) started on the mound and pitched six complete innings to move above .500 on the season. Oliver Powers, Tyler Swarmer, and Nygeal Andrews each added a scoreless inning of relief out of the bullpen to secure the victory.

Woolcock and Shane Johnsonbaugh added RBI singles, and Brad Keen a pinch-hit two-run base hit in the eighth.

Radford hosts Winthrop in a Big South weekend series this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Start times are set for 6:30, 4:00, and 2:00, respectively.
