JMU DOWNS MEN’S TENNIS, 4-0

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Radford men's tennis team dropped a nonconference dual match to James Madison, 4-0, Wednesday evening at the Hillside Courts.

The Dukes (6-9) swept the doubles portion of the contest and prevailed in the first three singles matches to capture the victory.

Radford (4-10) was leading in the remaining three matches when the outing was called. Playing at the top spot for the second-straight match, Stijn Meulemans won the first set against Ryan Pool (6-4). The junior holds an eight-match win streak heading into the Highlanders' next dual.

Also in front in his match was Nicholas Sayer. After dropping the first set, the junior rallied to win the second set (6-4) and was on top in the third set (4-1).

Joe Mills cruised to a 6-1 win in the first set against Robert Stirling on court four and was heading to a second-set tiebreaker when play ended.

RU returns home to host Liberty in a Big South battle Saturday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m.
