HIGHLANDERS WRAP UP COMPETITION AT UVA FALL CLASSIC

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Radford men's tennis team traveled to Charlottesville for the University of Virginia's Fall Classic over the weekend. Four Highlanders were in action at the three-day event hosted by the Cavaliers at the Snyder Tennis Center.

Freshman Michiel Meekers led the way with a pair of victories. After dropping his opening-round match to J.B. Gough of Davidson, Meekers battled back with straight-set wins over Justin Lansinger of UMBC (7-5, 6-3) and Dan Wright of Bucknell (6-4, 6-1).

RU returns to the Snyder Tennis Center in a couple weeks for the ITA Atlantic Regional hosted by UVa. Competition is scheduled to begin Oct. 17.
