FORT WORTH, Texas - Radford (2-3) struggled from the field shooting 33.9 percent and 1-12 from behind the three-point line, and the Highlanders dropped a 74-50 decision at Texas Christian (5-0) on Wednesday in the Corpus Christi Coastal Classic. Jalen Carethers scored a team-high 11 points off the bench, and Rashun Davis added 10.

RU trailed 19-18 with six minutes remaining in the first half, but the Horned Frogs closed with a 12-2 run to head to the intermission with all the momentum and a 31-20 lead. Kyan Anderson, who led TCU with 23 points on the night, nailed a three-pointer as time expired to push the spread over double digits for the first time in the game.

The Highlanders were never able to cut the lead into single digits as momentum carried over to the second half for the hosts as they opened with a 20-12 run in the first 10 minutes to build the lead to 61-32.

"We struggled to score the basketball tonight," Radford head coach Mike Jones said. "We had great looks, but just didn't make shots. We have to take advantage of those opportunities when they present themselves. Tonight we didn't do that."

Javonte Green, who came into the game averaging a double-double for the Highlanders, posted eight points and seven rebounds on the night. Brandon Holcomb also grabbed seven caroms.

Radford will continue play in the Coastal Classic on Friday when the Highlanders face North Carolina A&T in Corpus Christi, Texas. Tip is set for 1:30 p.m. (ET).
