HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. –
Radford men's golf carded a 296 for the second straight round to finish in a tie for fifth Tuesday at the Wexford Intercollegiate hosted by Francis Marion. The two-day tournament was contested on the Wexford Plantation course, which measured 6,913 yards and was a par 72 layout.

USC Aiken, which entered the event as the No. 2-ranked Division II team in the nation, held off a final-round rally by Presbyterian College to post a one-shot victory. The Pacers, who won the Wexford Intercollegiate for the third time in program history, tallied an 888 (297-296-295). The Blue Hose ended at 889 (300-301-288). PC's even-par 288 was the best round of the tournament.

Charleston Southern took third at 894 (299-300-295), one swing clear of VCU (895). The Rams notched the second-best score of the final round (290), which was fueled by Adam Ball's blistering 6-under-par 66. Behind his tournament-best round, Ball secured medalist honors at 4-under-par 212 (73-73-66). Overnight leader Davis Parker of PC dipped into red figures in his final round as well with a 2-under-par 70, but fell one shot off the pace.

The Highlanders and Austin Peay State were three shots behind VCU at 898. Francis Marion (900), Elon (900), Wofford (903) and DePaul (911) rounded out the top 10.

Earning his third individual top-10 of the season was Callum Tarren, who finished tied for ninth at 223 (75-74-74). The senior logged 11 birdies over his 54 holes, which were tied for the second-most in the tournament. Conner Hayden tied for 17th at 224 (76-73-75). He tied for fourth in the 90-golfer field in par-5 scoring at 3-under-par.

Tanner Carbaugh charted the best final round for the Highlanders en route to tying for 22nd at 226 (79-75-72). Ryan Rettberg joined Carbaugh at 226 (77-74-75) behind his 10 birdies. Nick Brediger concluded in a tie for 54th place with his 233 (78-80-75).
