TOUGH COMPETITION AWAITS HIGHLANDERS THIS WEEKEND AT WAKE

SEASON STATS  |  GAME NOTES

Radford head coach Joe Raccuia said in the preseason he wanted to challenge his team in the non-conference portion of the schedule, and this weekend's upcoming games in Winston-Salem, N.C. will feature just that. The Highlanders will face an SEC team (Missouri), an American Athletic team (Cincinnati), and an ACC team (Wake Forest) in three days of games on the Wake Forest campus.

Radford enters the weekend 1-3 on the season with its only win coming at Georgia Tech. The Highlanders have dropped two straight games, including an 8-6 loss at North Carolina A&T on Tuesday.

Radford vs. Missouri • Friday, Feb. 21 • 1 pm (updated time)

The Tigers are 2-1 following the opening weekend for the second time in three seasons and the first time since 2012, which was the last year Mizzou made an NCAA Regional. The Tigers rode a strong pitching performance last weekend to a second-place finish at the Lake Area Classic with wins over Southern Miss and Chicago State, plus a loss to McNeese State. The Tiger pitching staff compiled a 2.42 ERA last weekend and a 5-1 strikeout-walk ratio.

Radford vs. Cincinnati • Saturday, Feb. 22 • Noon
Cincinnati is still searching for its first win of the season entering play on Friday. The Bearcats lost a pair of games at Elon to open the season. Saturday's game will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Radford at Wake Forest • Sunday, Feb. 23 • 4 pm
The Demon Deacons enter the weekend set at 3-2 after splitting its first two games in a loss to Towson and a win over Georgetown. Wake then split a doubleheader with Marshall before defeating Davidson. The hosts will play both Cincinnati and Missouri prior to facing the Highlanders in the final game of the weekend.
