RADFORD CRUISES TO 7-0 WIN AT LONGWOOD



FARMVILLE, Va. – Radford came back to claim the doubles point, then rolled in singles action to earn a 7-0 Big South men's tennis victory over Longwood Saturday afternoon at the Lancer Courts.
 
The Highlanders (3-11, 3-4 Big South) secured the doubles point with wins at the second and third positions. Nicholas Sayer and Joe Mills combined for an 8-3 decision over Warren Bryan and James Fudge on court two. Patrick O'Keefe and Nico Ascarrunz defeated Bharani Sankar and Justin Higgs, 8-4, at the third flight.
 
Sayer, who is nationally-ranked in singles, made quick work of Daniel Elston (6-1, 6-1) at the top position. Mills continued his winning ways by prevailing 6-3, 6-3 over Bryan on court three. The victory was Mills' fourth in a row.
 
O'Keefe bounced back from a tough loss yesterday with a resounding 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Edward Becker at No. 2 singles. Freshmen Aymeric Autones, Janken Thoen and Ascarrunz also collected wins to deliver the sweep.
 
Radford is scheduled to host Bluefield College Monday at 3 p.m. However, with thunderstorms in the forecast, the match may be cancelled.
