CROSS COUNTRY WOMEN SIXTH, MEN SEVENTH IN LEAGUE PRESEASON POLL

Follow @RadfordTrack CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Radford's women's and men's cross country squads were picked sixth and seventh, respectively in the 2014 Big South Preseason Poll, announced the league office.

"I am confident that with the experience and leadership of our returners and the excitement and energy of our newcomers both Highlander squads can look to improve upon our preseason rankings this season, said coach Mackenzie Wartenberger."

Radford looks to improve on last season's seventh (women) and eighth (men) place finishes when it heads to the Big South Championship meet on Nov. 1 at Gardner-Webb.

"I have encouraged our men and women to conduct themselves as top-5 teams," commented Wartenberger. "We'll have our work cut out for us in November, but I know these groups have the chance to prove how great they can be."
