HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Radford used a 55-point second half to pull away from Lees-McRae for a convincing 84-39 non-conference women's basketball win Saturday afternoon inside the Dedmon Center.
  • The Highlanders raced out to a 17-2 advantage and held the visitors to one made field goal for the first 13:55 of the game.
  • RU led by as many as 22 (29-7) before Lees-McRae closed the half on a 10-0 run.
  • Behind 79.3 percent shooting in the second half, the Highlanders outscored LMC, 55-22.
     
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Every Radford player who logged minutes scored—led by Jayda Worthy's second double-double of the season (19 points, 11 rebounds).
  • Aisha Foy (15), Janayla White (13) and Jordan Toohey (10) joined Worthy in double figures, marking the first time since Feb. 8, 2014 there were four Highlanders in double figures, offensively.
  • RU came within four points of tying the Dedmon Center record for most points in a single half (59).
  • The Highlanders broke the 50-rebound plateau for the first time since Nov. 12, 2013.
  • Radford's +28 rebounding margin (52-24) is the largest under head coach Mike McGuire.
  • RU scored 52 of its 84 points in the paint and outgained the Bobcats, 27-0, on the fast break.
  • Twenty-four of the Highlanders' 33 made field goals were assisted.
  • Radford shot a season-high 73.7 percent (14-19) from the free-throw line.
