HOW IT HAPPENED
  • High Point racked up 88 digs and held Radford to .192 on the attack in the Panthers' 3-2 Big South volleyball victory Saturday evening inside the Dedmon Center.
  • HPU gained an 88-55 advantage in the digs department, led by Annemarie Chin's match-high 27.
  • Radford battled back from a 0-2 deficit at intermission to force a fifth set for the second straight day.
  • The Panthers engineered a 5-1 run midway through the fifth frame to gain enough separation for the ninth win in their last 10 matches.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Megan Short erupted for a career-high 25 kills on 47 swings (.468). She also contributed three blocks.
  • Maddie Palmer totaled 11 kills for her 17th double-figure kill match of the season.
  • Haley Kleespies dished out 44 assists to go along with her 11 digs. It was the 10th double-double of her freshman campaign.
  • Kelby Jackson anchored the Highlanders' backline with 14 digs.
  • Haley Barnes ripped a match-high 20 kills to accompany her 14 digs in leading High Point's attack.
  • Camryn Freiberg and Megan Kennedy contributed 18 and 12 kills, respectively.
  • Gabi Mirand managed the Panthers' offense behind her 53 assists. HPU hit .233 for the match.
  • The first set featured 17 ties and eight lead changes.
