HOW IT HAPPENED

Senior Guard Aisha Foy poured in a career-high 26 points, but Radford could not overcome a 12 for 21 performance by Wofford from 3-point land as the Highlanders dropped its fifth road contest on the season, 79-70, at Wofford Friday afternoon.
Trailing 64-52 with 6:05 remaining in the fourth quarter, Jayda Worthy found Janayla White and Lydia Rivers for back-to-back baskets, while Foy added a layup for a Highlander 6-0 run.
Coming out of the locker room, Wofford opened the third quarter on an 8-4 run as a season-high 20 Radford turnovers fueled the Terriers' offense.
After a slow first quarter, a 3-pointer from Jordan Toohey gave RU a 23-22 lead with 6:16 remaining until halftime.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

Radford has now lost eight straight road games and has not registered a non-conference road win since Nov. 30, 2014.
Aisha Foy set a career high in points with 26. Foy's previous career high came on Dec. 30, 2014 at Gardner-Webb with a 25-point performance.
With the 26-point effort, Foy has now scored in double figures in seven of Radford's nine games this season.
Janayla White narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Joining Foy and White in double figures was Lydia Rivers, who finished with a season-high 11 points on 5 of 9 shooting.
Gaby Gilmore and White defended the paint, finishing with three blocks each. The three blocks are a career high for Gilmore.
Gilmore also collected a career-high six assists.
Radford outscored Wofford, 40-24, in the paint, with 24 points coming on second chances.
The Highlanders finished 28 for 63 from the field (44.4 percent). Wofford went 28 for 67 from the floor (41.8 percent).
RU is now 3-2 on the season when outshooting its opponent.
Wofford made a season-high 12 3-pointers, finishing 12 for 21 (57.1 percent) from behind the arch.
Kentra Washington led Wofford with a season-high 20 points on 8 of 13 shooting, including a perfect 4 for 4 from 3-point land.
Peyton Walker followed with 14 points off the bench, making 4 of 5 3-pointers.

Radford remains on the road, traveling to Virginia Tech on Monday for the women's edition of the New River Valley showdown.
This will mark the 34^th meeting all-time between the two foes.
