RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's basketball team makes the first of two trips to South Carolina in a span of four days when the team ventures to Charleston Southern for Saturday's 2 p.m. Big South contest inside the Buc Dome.

The Highlanders (14-10, 11-4 Big South), who have won 11 of their previous 13 games, ascended to second place in the Big South standings following Tuesday's 55-45 triumph over Longwood inside the Dedmon Center.
Radford buried 10 3-pointers against the Lancers, which tied a season high and were one shy of tying the Dedmon Center record.
RU will be aiming for the season sweep of the Buccaneers when the two teams collide, Saturday. On the strength of an Ayana Avery 3-pointer with nine seconds remaining in regulation, the Highlanders were able to come from behind and defeat CSU, 53-51, on Jan. 5 inside the Dedmon Center. Janayla White was the lone double-figure scorer for Radford in the game with 12 points.
Avery and Aisha Foy average double-figure scoring for RU at 10.8 and 10.2 points per game, respectively. The duo accounts for 76.2 percent (99-130) of the Highlanders' 3-pointers made. Avery leads the Big South with her 2.5 triples per contest.
Over in the rebounding department, Jordynn Gaymon pulls down 7.2 caroms per contest. Her average ranks ninth in the conference. White ranks 10th in rebounding at 7.1 boards per outing. On top of her rebounding, White ranks third in the Big South in blocks per game, rejecting 1.8 shots per outing.
Paced by Foy's .418 clip from long range, Radford tops the Big South in 3-point field goal percentage (.355). Foy and Avery rank first and second, respectively, in 3-point shooting among Big South players.
SCOUTING CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
CSU (5-19, 1-14 Big South) is currently in last place in the Big South standings entering the weekend. All five of the Bucs' wins have come at home, including their only conference victory—a 70-57 triumph over UNC Asheville on Feb. 2.
A key concern for Radford will be limiting its turnovers against the Big South leader in steals. CSU averages nearly 10 steals per game. The Highlanders had a season-high 29 turnovers Tuesday night against Longwood.
The 3-point line will be a deciding factor as well, considering RU and the Bucs are tied for second among Big South teams in 3-pointers made per game (5.4).
Tatum Jarvis is Charleston Southern's leading scorer at 13 points per game. She is the lone double-figure scorer for CSU. After not starting the first 16 games of the season, Jarvis has gotten the nod in six of the Bucs' last eight contests. The 6-foot sophomore dropped in a career-high 29 points in CSU's only conference win.
