MEN’S TENNIS SUFFERS 5-0 DEFEAT AT MONMOUTH

SHREWSBURY, N.J. – Radford dropped a 5-0 nonconference men's tennis match Wednesday night against Monmouth at Shrewsbury Racquet Club.

After dropping the decision at No. 3 doubles, the Highlanders (2-5) responded at the top flight as Patrick O'Keefe and Samuel Taylor upended Victor Pugliese and Przemyslaw Filipek, 8-5. The Hawks (5-7) captured the doubles point at the second position.

MU rolled in singles play, winning four of the six bouts to end the match. O'Keefe, who entered the dual on a three-match win streak at No. 1 singles, led his battle (7-5, 3-4) when the overall result was in hand.

RU concludes its spring break trip to the northeast with Thursday's 12 p.m. contest against Marist in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
