WOMEN’S GOLF CONCLUDES IN SEVENTH AT SEMINOLE STATE INVITATIONAL

ROUND 2
LAKE MARY, Fla. – Two Highlanders finished in the Top 20 to guide the Radford women's golf team to a seventh-place finish following Wednesday's final round of the Seminole State Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole event was hosted by Seminole State at the par 72, 6,001-yard Timacuan Golf Club.
Khushboo Thiagaraj and Larissa Carter paced RU at 161, which tied for 18th in the 78-golfer field. Alexandra Austin and Olivia Jay tied for 30th at 166, while Meagan Board tied for 43rd at 171. Jay led the Highlanders in the final round with her 79.
Seminole State used a final-round 300 to overtake first-round leader Appalachian State for the team title. The tournament hosts carded a 610 to edge the Mountaineers by two strokes.
Sydney Legacy of Seminole State led wire-to-wire en route to the individual title. She fired a 148 (72-76) to capture medalist honors by one shot over USC Upstate's Eden Howard.
The Highlanders' next tournament is set for March 21-22 at the Low Country Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Moss Creek Golf Club will be the host course for the 54-hole event.
