RADFORD, Va. ---- Teresa Williamson led Radford on Friday night at the Virginia Challenge on the campus of UVA, running a lifetime-best 2:10.15 in the 800-meter run.

Williamson's previous career best was a 2:10.83 clocked at the Liberty Collegiate Invitational on April 5, 2014. After placing 20th in the 800 meters on Friday, Williamson's weekend will conclude on Saturday at the Virginia Challenge in the 1,500-meter run at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Katie Hickey turned in a 2:23.55 in the 800 meters, coming in ninth in heat six.

The majority of the Highlanders will travel to the Phoenix Invitational at Elon. Field events in Elon, N.C., will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the hammer throw. Running commences at noon with the 4x100-meter relays. The one day-event concludes at approximately 4:45 p.m. with the 4x400-meter relay.
