HOW IT HAPPENED
  • For the second straight match, Radford hit over .300 as a team en route to a 3-0 victory over Norfolk State on Tuesday evening in non-conference volleyball action.
  • The Highlanders' .356 attack rate is a season high, improving upon their .311 last time out.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Maddie Palmer put down a team-high 13 kills at a .400 clip for her 10th double-figure kill performance of the year.
  • Megan Short torpedoed 10 kills, while hitting a sizzling .643.
  • Short and Valerie Gonzalez chipped in four blocks apiece.
  • Radford dialed up nine aces in three sets of action, led by Cheyanne James' three.
  • Ashley Hillyard dished out 31 assists in her second straight start.
  • Kelby Jackson recorded eight of her team-high 11 digs in the first set. It was her seventh double-digit dig effort of the season.
  • In addition to Palmer and Short, James and Gonzalez hit over .300 for the match.
