The Radford men's golf team finished with an aggregate 884 (285-302-297) to tie Maryland for seventh place upon conclusion of Tuesday's final round of the Janney VCU Shootout
On the strength of Myles Creighton's even-par 72, the Highlanders were able to slide past Virginia Tech in the team standings.
James Madison claimed the team title at 7-under-par 857 (278-289-290), ending the Hokies' three-year run as tournament champion.
A team from the Commonwealth has won the tournament five years in a row (Virginia, Virginia Tech, JMU).
Maryland's Tom Harris posted a 10-under-par 206 (66-69-71) to win medalist honors by five shots over teammate David Kocher and Iowa State's Nick Voke.
