RADFORD, Va. – The Radford cross country teams return to action on Saturday as they compete in the Virginia- Panorama Farms Invitational.
The meet, which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with the men's 8K race, followed by the women's 5K at 10:45 a.m., will be run on the same Panorama Farms course that will host the NCAA Southeast Regional in November. It will also give the Highlanders their first chance to see how they stack up against Big South competition.
Among the 17 schools competing are Liberty, High Point, Coastal Carolina and the Campbell men. Host Virginia, Auburn, Oklahoma and Wake Forest are also in the field.
Six men and six women are scheduled to represent Radford's squads. The top returning Highlander men will see their first action since having their season-opening race cut short three weeks ago. For the women, juniors Courtney Burton and Courtney Rice led the way in last week's 6K race at Virginia Tech.
