HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Despite a 2-1 lead in the match, Radford was unable to prevent Princeton's comeback in the final two sets Friday night in the George Washington Invitational.
  • Princeton staved off eight set points in the second stanza before the Highlanders claimed the 31-29 decision to take a 2-1 edge into intermission.
  • Trailing 6-0 in the fifth set, the Tigers rallied to earn the decisive final frame.

  • Maddie Palmer delivered her fifth straight (eighth career) double-double behind 21 kills and a career-high 21 digs.
  • It was Palmer's third 20-kill match of the season.
  • Savanna Burton notched her third straight double-double of the season with 18 kills and 18 digs (both career highs).
  • Haley Kleespies recorded her second double-double of the season behind 61 assists and 13 digs (both season highs).
  • Her 61 assists are the fifth-most in a single match in program history.
  • Megan Short and Valerie Gonzalez torched the court for 14 kills apiece to give the Highlanders four players in double figures, offensively.
  • Short added four blocks, while Kleespies had three.
  • Kelby Jackson posted her second 20-dig performance of the season to move into seventh place all-time in career digs (882).
  • Four Tigers finished with double-figure kills, led by Cara Mattaliano (17).
  • Princeton's Maddie Huber logged a match-high 25 digs.
