GAME INFORMATION
-  Score: Radford 80, Longwood 64
-  Records: Radford (14-12, 10-7 Big South) | Longwood (6-20, 3-14 Big South)

RADFORD, Va. – Radford sent seniors Aisha Foy and Gaby Gilmore out in style Saturday afternoon as the Highlanders cruised to an 80-64 Senior Day win over Longwood in Big South women's basketball action inside the Dedmon Center.

In the win, RU placed three scorers in double figures, as Janayla White and Jayda Worthy led the charge with 17 points each. Gilmore followed with a 10-point effort.

The afternoon got off to an emotional start as Foy made her last start in a Highlander uniform, suiting up for Senior Day activities and the opening tip. Foy will miss the rest of the season due to a torn ACL suffered at Charleston Southern.

The Lancers opened with four straight points, before the Highlanders scored 11 unanswered, capped by a Gilmore steal and layup to give RU an 11-4 lead.

Radford shot a blistering 47.1 percent in the first half, compared to just 25 percent from LU. The Highlanders' hot shooting fueled their 41-21 halftime advantage.

Longwood attempted a late second-half comeback, pouring in 43 points (26 in the final stanza). Radford thwarted the comeback attempt, however, converting four fast-break baskets in what turned into a track meet at the end of the game.

Daeisha Brown, who scored her 1,000th career point during the contest, led the Lancers in scoring with 17 points.

Radford visits Winthrop for Tuesday's crucial conference contest in Rock Hill, S.C. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Winthrop Coliseum.

The Highlanders downed Winthrop, 66-44, on Jan. 9 inside the Dedmon Center. RU will be seeking its first road win over the Eagles since Jan. 12, 2009 (six straight losses).
