ROCK HILL, S.C. – Janayla White paced three Radford players in double figures with a career-high-tying 19 points, and the Highlanders overcame a slow start to dispatch Winthrop, 67-38, Tuesday night inside Winthrop Coliseum.

White, who made 11 of her 14 free throws, tallied 19 points for the second time this season. She also pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds, including 11 on the offensive end, to notch her ninth double-double of the season.

Playing in her home state of South Carolina, Destinee Walker put on a show in front of her family and friends. The Florence, S.C., native dialed up a season-high 13 points on 4 of 7 shooting, which included a 3 for 4 effort from beyond the arc.

Gaby Gilmore added 11 points on 5 of 10 shooting, while dishing out a team-high three assists. It was the senior's 12^th double-figure scoring performance.

Radford tied its season high of eight 3-pointers made, connecting on 8 of 16. In addition to Walker's three, Jordan Toohey (two), Alexis Jackson (two) and Gilmore (one) also contributed to the Highlanders' scorching accuracy from downtown.

After being held to just seven points in the opening quarter, the Highlanders outscored Winthrop, 60-28, over the final three stanzas to record their first win inside Winthrop Coliseum since Jan. 12, 2009.

Aliyah Kilpatrick, who late in the game became the 19^th player at Winthrop to reach 1,000 career points, chalked up a team-high 11 points. However, Radford held her to just 4 of 17 shooting. The Eagles shot 25.5 percent for the game and did not make a 3-pointer (0-8).

Radford goes into its bye weekend before the team returns to the court Tuesday, March 1 against Presbyterian. The game, which will be broadcast on ESPN3, has huge tournament seeding implications for both teams. RU earned a hard-fought 64-53 win at Presbyterian on Jan. 4.

"It's good to come down to Rock Hill and finally get a win for our program. It's been a while since we have been able to do that. However, I want to credit Winthrop. That team has been through so much this year and to watch their kids still play really hard—I admire that and I admire how Coach Cook is keeping those kids together because that is not an easy thing to do. For us, I thought we improved as the game went on. I thought we had good spurts today.
