BLACKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech received goals from seven different players en route to a 17-2 victory over Radford in non-conference women's lacrosse action at the Hokies' indoor practice facility Wednesday afternoon.
 
Facing a barrage of shots from Tech, Hannah Rosen stood up to the challenge, recording a season-high 16 saves (doubling her total from the Highlanders' first game). In all, Rosen faced 33 shots on goal from the Hokies.
 
Avery Reding and Adrian Rius found the back of the net for Radford in the second half to break up Tech's clean sheet. Juliette Ruland and Shelby Merchant both secured a pair of draw controls, while Caroline Boyd led the Highlanders in ground balls with two.
 
Radford kept the battle for draw controls close, earning eight compared to 13 by the Hokies.
 
RU visits Delaware State for Saturday's 1 p.m. non-conference game at Alumni Stadium in Dover, Del.
