DAVIDSON, N.C. – Conner Lewis opened with a 36-hole 151 and is tied for seventh in leading the Radford men's golf team during Monday's first and second rounds of the Davidson College Invitational hosted by the Wildcats at River Run Country Club.

Behind a pair of their golfers in the top 20, the Highlanders are fifth in the team standings. Their cumulative ledger of 613 (307-306) is 10 shots behind overnight leader Charlotte. The 49ers were sparked by individual frontrunner Thomas Rowland, who leads the 42-golfer field at 2-over-par 146 (72-74).

After a solid opening round that featured three birdies, Lewis found himself in a tie for second place through 18 holes of competition at 1-over-par 73. The redshirt junior slipped five spots in the afternoon by carding a 78 for his second 18.

Myles Creighton charged up the leaderboard in the afternoon, trimming five shots off his morning round to post a 153 (79-74). He enters the final round in a tie for 13^th. Creighton, who recorded five birdies on the day, is tied for the field's best mark in par-3 scoring (-2).

Nick Brediger led all Radford golfers with six birdies, which included five in his second round.

RU, which is paired with Marshall, gets Tuesday's final round underway at 9:19 a.m.
