RADFORD OPENS SEASON WITH 7-0 LOSS TO WILLIAM & MARY

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Radford opened the 2016 portion of its schedule with a 7-0 loss to William & Mary in non-conference action, Friday afternoon inside the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.

With wins on court 2 and 3, the Tribe (4-2) captured the doubles point, while collecting all six singles points to earn the shutout.

The Highlanders received a good performance from Janken Thoen in No. 1 singles. The junior put up a fight with a 6-4, 6-3 showing versus Christian Cargill.

Radford (0-1) returns to the court on Saturday, facing in-state foe Virginia Commonwealth for a 9 a.m. match.
