KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Radford women's golf team saved its best performance for Tuesday's final round of the Kiawah Island Classic hosted by College of Charleston. RU carded a 316, trimming 21 shots off its scorecard from the second round.
Coastal Carolina posted an eight-shot victory over College of Charleston behind its 6-under-par 282 in the final round. The Chanticleers (871) received top-20 performances from all four of their counting scorers. The Cougars took runner-up with their 879.
Khushboo Thiagaraj and Meagan Board both carded rounds in the 70s to ignite the Highlanders' charge. Thiagaraj tallied a 76 while Board brought home a 78.
Fatima Cano of Troy and Emily McLennan of Chattanooga shared medalist honors at 6-under-par 210.
The Highlanders are back on the course March 14-15 at the Bulldog Invitational hosted by The Citadel at Patriot Point Links in Charleston, S.C.
