WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Myles Creighton is tied for 14^th and the Radford men's golf team is tied for 13^th following Sunday's opening round of the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary at Kingsmill Resort's River Course.

Behind his 1-over-par 71, Creighton is only one stroke outside the Top-10. He was even in par-4 scoring, which is tied for third in the field.

Gareth Sargent, who tied Creighton for the team lead in pars (13), is tied for 42^nd through 18 holes of competition. Conner Hayden (75), Nick Brediger (77) and Conner Lewis (78) round out the Highlanders' lineup.

Tennessee, ranked 46^th in the nation, fired a 4-over-par 284 and is on top of the 24-team field. No. 27-ranked Penn State and Dayton are tied for second at 3-over-par 287. RU is only 10 shots behind the duo at 297.

On the strength of five birdies, Penn State's Charles Huntzinger logged a 3-under-par 67 and carries the overnight lead. Twelve golfers are within three shots of the individual frontrunner.

The Highlanders return to the course for Monday's second round, which gets underway for them at 10:03 a.m. off the 10^th hole. Longwood, Seton Hall and Delaware will join RU in tomorrow's foursome.
