SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Radford women's golf team fired a 342 and is in 11th place following Sunday's first round of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate hosted by Tennessee Tech at Sevierville Golf Club's Highlands Course.
Southern Miss has a 10-shot advantage in the team race, carding a 305. Youngstown State is in the runner-up position, one shot ahead of UNC Greensboro and Tennessee Tech (316).
The Golden Eagles' Devon Spriddle returned a 1-over-par 72 to the clubhouse to capture the top spot on the individual leaderboard.
Larissa Carter leads the Highlanders, bringing in an 83, which is tied for 33rd.
Monday's second round gets underway with a 12 p.m. shotgun start. RU is paired with Carson-Newman and Tennessee State.
