RADFORD FALLS TO WINGATE, 6-3

WINGATE, N.C. – Playing its third match in as many days, the Radford men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to NCAA Division II Wingate, Monday morning at the WU Tennis Complex. The match was played under NCAA Division II rules as all nine matches counted as one point each.

The Bulldogs (8-3) came into the match ranked 48^th nationally and 10^th regionally in NCAA Division II.

Radford picked up a win in No. 1 singles as Janken Thoen and Michiel Meekers were winners over Sebastian Hall and Connor Kudrick, 8-2.

After falling behind 2-1 in doubles play, the Highlanders looked to make up ground in singles action.

The lone two singles victories came from Alexandros Caldwell in the No. 2 spot and Samuel Taylor in the No. 6 spot.

Caldwell defeated Kudrick by the score of 7-5, 4-6, 6-1.

Earning his second singles victory in as many days, Taylor bested Tyler Schofer, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4.

Radford (0-5) returns to action on Thursday, taking on Troy in neutral site action in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.
