LIBERTY PREVAILS 20-4 IN FIRST WOMEN’S LACROSSE MEETING WITH RADFORD

RADFORD, Va. – Behind five goals from Kallie Britton, Liberty claimed a 20-4 Big South women's lacrosse victory over Radford, Wednesday afternoon at Cupp Stadium.
 
Britton paced 10 Lady Flames in the scoring column. Liberty outshot the Highlanders, 40-10.
 
Four players scored for Radford, including Gracie Peterson, who tallied her team-high-tying 24th goal of the season. Juliette Ruland, Callie Bonnel and Emma Rogers also found the back of the net. Bonnel assisted on Rogers' goal to give her two points for the contest.
 
Adrian Rius, the conference leader in draw controls per game, reeled in five of the Highlanders' nine draws. In goal, Hannah Rosen recorded 14 saves, including nine in the first half.
 
Radford will hold its first-ever Senior Day on Saturday, as the Highlanders will honor Emily Hoke prior to the 12 p.m. opening draw against Coastal Carolina at Cupp Stadium.
