RADFORD, Va. – Despite playing in windy and cold conditions, Radford showed resiliency before falling 13-8 to Presbyterian College in Big South women's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon at Cupp Stadium.

PC was able to extend its 7-4 halftime lead to 11-5 early in the second stanza before Radford reeled off three straight goals to cut its deficit to three (11-8).

Presbyterian, which scored twice in the final seven minutes of the game, switched into protective mode to run down the clock and preserve its first conference win of the season.

Gracie Peterson tallied a team-high three goals to pace RU in the scoring column. Adrian Rius, who notched two goals and two assists, hauled in a game-high-tying five draw controls. Shelby Merchant caused three Blue Hose turnovers.

Facing 37 shots from the opposition, Hannah Rosen charted 16 saves between the pipes for the Highlanders. It was her third outing of the season with at least 16 saves.

On deck, Radford travels to Longwood for Wednesday's 6 p.m. Big South bout in Farmville, Va.
