RAMSEY FINISHES TIED FOR 16TH IN GOLFWEEK CHALLENGE

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Radford opened up its fall schedule with an eighth place finish in the 2016 Golfweek Program Challenge, led by career-best 54-hole tournament from Ben Ramsey, finishing with a three-day round of 212 at the True Blue Golf Club.

The Highlanders finished three-under par with a three-day total of 861, finishing six strokes better than Houston Baptist. Jacksonville captured the challenge with a 32-under par showing.

Ramsey carded back-to-back rounds of 70 on Monday and Tuesday, a career low. The junior finished tied for 16^th place. Ramsey finished second with 40 pars in the tournament. In addition to the par total, Ramsey ranked second in the field with an average score of 2.80 on Par 3 holes.

In his first collegiate tournament, Kristof Ulenaers finished tied for 24^th with a 54-hole score of 215. Ulenaers fired a 70 to wrap up the tournament after finishing Monday with the Highlanders lowest round of the tournament with a 69.

Conner Lewis finished the final day of the tournament with a 75, giving him a three-day total of 216. Lewis led the field with 41 pars.

Radford returns to action Sept. 19-20, participating in the Janney VCU Shootout at The Country Club of Virginia.
