- Senior center Randy Phillips was a big part of that rebounding effort; he pulled down nine with six coming off the offensive glass
- The Highlanders showed good ball movement at times Friday night, tallying 10 assists on 27 made field goals. Those 10 assists came from eight different players
- A big second half effort was key against GSW. Radford trailed by two going into the halftime break, but went on to outscore the Hurricanes, 42-31, in the second stanza

SCOUTING THE BUCKEYES
- Record: 1-0 (0-0 Big Ten)
- Ohio State put its dominance on display Friday night when it handled Robert Morris, 95-64, in the season opener
- It was the first win for head coach Chris Holtmann who joined the Buckeyes in June. You may recognize the name from when he coached fellow Big South team Gardner-Webb from 2010-13
- Four different Buckeyes provided double-digit scoring, led by redshirt junior forward Keita Bates-Diop's 19 points
- Bates-Diop also added 11 rebounds to secure a double-double in his first game back since a stress fracture kept him out of the final 21 games of last season
- Senior forward Jae'Sean Tate, who led the Buckeyes with 14.3 points per game in 2016-17, went for seven points and eight rebounds
