RACE INFORMATION
SETTING THE STAGE
Less a week ago the Highlanders tackled their biggest challenge of the year at the Big South Championships. Both the men's and women's squads came away with a fifth-place finish while senior Carrie Keevey placed fourth in the women's 5K to earn All-Big South honors. It was a solid weekend all-around for Head Coach Eric Thatcher and company and with the NCAA Regionals around the corner, it will be a light weekend at the Hokie Open.
Joe Spriggs will represent the Radford men in Blacksburg while two more men will compete unattached. No Radford women will be in uniform on Friday evening.
The Highlanders have already run once at the Buford Meredith XC Course this season at the Hokie Invite, which kicked off the 2017 campaign. Here were the results from that meet:
Men's Final Standings
1 Concord 38
2 VMI 50
3 Radford 57
4 Washington & Lee 77
5 Longwood 139
Â
Women's Final Standings

2 Radford 80* (Won Tiebreaker)
