RADFORD TIED FOR TOP SPOT AFTER DAY ONE OF WEXFORD INTERCOLLEGIATE

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Highlighted by Nick Brediger's 143, which currently sits at fifth place in the individual leaderboard, the Radford men's golf team is tied for first place after day one of the Wexford Invitational.

Radford ended the day strong and shot 287 as a team in the second round, the best score of any team in any round. Led by Brediger, who finished three-under for the day with five birdies in the round, the Highlanders totaled 15 birdies.

The Highlanders began the day with 56 pars and nine birdies during the first round of play and was tied for seventh. Led by Myles Creighton's one-under and three birdies, Radford shot 301 as a team in the first round. Brediger added in the mix with a two-over. Conner Lewis started tough on the front nine shooting two-over, but finished with six-over at the end of the first round.

Creighton is currently tied for sixth individually after shooting a one-under 71 in round one and a one-over 73 in the round two. Ben Ramsey made a strong comeback after shooting six-over in the first round. He finished the second round one-under and tied for 20^th on the individual leaderboard at 149.

Radford totaled 114 pars after the first day of the tournament, which is the most of any team in the tournament this far.
