WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Radford men's golf team is in eighth place following day one of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.

The Highlanders shot a 299 after the first round of the tournament and are currently in eighth place in the 22 team field. Myles Creighton finished 2-over (72) and is tied for 12^th place in the individual leaderboard, which is the best of any Radford player. He has kept steady play and accumulated 12 pars and two birdies.

Ben Ramsey is currently tied for 36^th place as he carded a 5-over (75) after the first round. He totaled five birdies and four pars in the back nine, but got off to a slow start with a 10-over in the front nine.

Nick Brediger and Ben O'Geary are tied for 54^th place and carded a 6-over (76) each. The two combined for six birdies and 16 pars. Gareth Sargent shot 7-over (77) and is tied for 65^th place in the individual leaderboards.
