RADFORD, Va. – In just her second start of the season, Jenny Davis recorded 15 saves – three shy of tying the school record for saves in a game – as the Radford women's lacrosse team won a 14-11 defensive battle against St. Bonaventure on Monday afternoon at Cupp Stadium.

Neither team scored a goal for the next 10:45, but St. Bonaventure found the back of the net as Scarlet Joworski made it a 3-1 game. Both teams traded goals, but the Bonnies ended the final 7:08 of the first half with a 5-1 run and took a 6-5 lead into the locker room.

Following a goal by the Bonnies with 23:20 left to play, the Highlanders went on a run of their own and scored six of the next seven goals, three by Emma Rogers and one by Lindsey Carroll, which made it an 11-8 Radford lead with 11:42 to play.

QUOTABLE
"Coach Heaps and I are so proud of our team's effort today. They followed the gameplan, put a lot of focus into the scouting report and they closed it out with hard work. The most exciting thing about this team right now is that we still haven't reached our potential. The best and most exciting victories are ahead of us." ~ Radford head coach, Haley Marvine.
