High Point, N.C.- - -The Radford women's volleyball team fell in straight sets against the High Point Panthers, 13-25, 14-25, 18-25, on Friday evening at the Millis Center. The Panthers clinched the Big South regular-season title by virtue of their two victories against the Highlanders this season.

Junior
Mallory McKnight recorded seven kills and four block assists to lead Radford, who fell to 19-4 overall and 11-3 in the conference. Â
Stephanie Neast contributed six kills and three block assists and
Grace Green had a team-high 13 digs.

First Set
The hosts scored the first four points of the match and never trailed in the frame. A service ace by
Haley Kleespies brought the Highlanders within 11-8, however, High Point scored the next four points to widen their lead to 15-8. The Highlanders were unable to make a run the rest of the way.

Second Set
High Point (18-8, 13-1 BSC) jumped out to a 12-2 lead and never trailed in the set. The Highlanders did manage to go on a 7-3 spurt to close within 15-9. A combined block by McKnight and Neast capped the stretch. The hosts scored six of the next seven points to extend their lead to 21-10 and the visitors could not recover.

Third Set
Once again, the Panthers took an early lead at 7-4 but Radford fought back to even the score at nine after a High Point hitting error. The Highlanders took their final lead of the set at 13-12 after a kill by McKnight. The hosts went on a 10-2 run to claim a 22-15 and eventually closed out the match.

Next for the Highlanders
Radford host USC Upstate next Friday evening and will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday versus UNC Asheville.
