SETTING THE STAGE
  • Radford is looking to bounce back from a 4-16 defeat to Colgate in a game that was originally scheduled to be played at Cupp Stadium, but had to be moved to Buena Vista, Va. due to snow
  • A win would continue the Highlanders' trend of alternating wins and losses this season and would put them above .500 both in their overall and home records
  • George Washington rolls into town aiming to continue its hot start to the season. At 6-1, the Colonials have already posted the best start to a season in their program's history
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Tuesday's meeting will be the first ever between the Radford and George Washington women's lacrosse programs
  • The Highlanders defeated St. Bonaventure, 14-11, on March 6, 2017 in their only other meeting with an Atlantic 10 program
 
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Record: 3-3 (0-0 Big South)
  • Radford struggled in its last game, scoring only four goals despite getting 19 shots off
  • Sophomore Lindsey Carroll led the team with two goals while juniors Juliette Ruland and Emma Rogers and each added one
  • The Highlanders still lead the Big South with 22.83 ground balls per game
  • They also rank second in the conference with 12.50 caused turnovers per game
  • Sophomore Jenny Davis is one of four goalies in the Big South with double-digits saves per game at 10.67
  • Radford has been outscored by a combined tally of 39-32 in the first half this season, but it is outscoring opponents 43-39 in the second half
  • Redshirt sophomore midfielder Brittany Rinaldi leads the team with 10 caused turnovers. She is one of 15 Highlanders to record at least one caused turnover this season
  • Freshman defender Rachel Ator is one of six Highlanders to start all six games this year. She is tied for second on the squad with eight caused turnovers and tied for third with 14 ground balls
 
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
  • Record: 6-1 (0-0 Atlantic 10)
  • George Washington is in its fourth season under head coach Tracy Coyne
  • In the Atlantic 10 preseason poll, the Colonials were picked to finish eighth out of 10 teams after going 3-13 overall and 2-7 in conference play last season
  • The Colonials are riding a four-game win streak, its longest since the 2013 season
  • They bring a 3-1 record on the road to Cupp Stadium. Their only loss this season was to Monmouth in West Long Branch, N.J.
  • Radford and GW have several similar opponents this season. The Colonials have already defeated Big South-foe Longwood (16-8), Robert Morris (9-7) and Mount St. Mary's (10-7)
  • Senior attacker Jocelyn Donohue leads the Colonials with 20 goals on 36 shot attempts this season. Fellow senior attacker Camaryn Kerns is just behind with 17 goals of her own
  • Freshman goalie Jenna Oler has joined the program and taken the reins in the cage already. She has a 8.27 goals against average with 77 saves and a .606 save percentage
  • GW is outscoring opponents by a combined score of 91-63 through seven games

  • The Highlanders stay home for a Noon contest with Mount St. Mary's this Saturday, March 24th
  • Last season, The Mount came away with a 23-13 victory against Radford. They're 4-4 so far this season
