NINETY SIX, S.C. – The Radford men's golf team finished sixth at the conclusion of the Big South Championship on Sunday, but Myles Creighton capped off his Radford career with his second Big South Scholar Athlete of the Year Award and was named all-conference.

KEY STORYLINES
  • Myles Creighton finished inside the top 10, in a tie for ninth, after shooting two-under in the final day of the Big South Championship.
  • Creighton was named Scholar Athlete of the Year, just as he was in 2017. He was also named to the All-Conference team.
  • Not only was Creighton the first Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2017, he is also the first to win it in back-to-back years.
  • Creighton ends his career finishing inside the top 10 in 10 consecutive spring tournaments.
  • He also claims the career top-10 scoring average with a 72.97, which ousts Weston Eklund.
  • Hunter Duncan concluded his freshman season with a one-under (71) in the final day of play.
  • He was named to the Big South All-Freshman Team. Duncan is the first freshman to achieve the honor since 2014.
  • The Highlanders finished the final day shooting four-over (292) as a team.
  • Peter Gasperini shot one-under (71) and finishes in a tie for 14th place.
  • No. 1 seed Liberty finished with a team aggregate 12-under (276) to distance itself from the field and win the 2018 Big South Men's Golf Championship by 19 strokes over defending champion Campbell.
  • Individually, High Point's Brendan MacDougall finished with a five-under (67) Sunday and captured Medalist honors with a 13-under par 203 (73-63-67).
